Of course, there are several times a year when everyone thinks about traveling and enjoying free time with family and friends: Easter and summer . Basically because they are times in the calendar when we have more free time. But what if we plan to " deseasonalize " those moments when we go on vacation? What if we planned a getaway to make the most of these occasions?
If we pay attention to the strict definition of the term getaway, we see that it is not another
that "the temporary abandonment of regular occupations, usually in order to have fun or be distracted." With that in mind, if we assume we don't have to choose far-flung destinations, any long weekend or weekend can be a perfect option for us to take a break.
We share below the benefits and importance of escaping as a family not "just" on vacation. Are you with us?
1. Break the routine and the frantic daily pace.
We currently live against the clock. The day is full of endless days of work, activities, commitments… And from time to time it is necessary to "break" with it and get out of this wheel.
Often even weekends are not spent on rest; because when we stay in our place of residence the agendas of Saturday and Sunday are filled with parties, visits from relatives, invitations from friends…
So every now and then it’s okay to take a break and breathe.
2. Find “island” moments to communicate as a family.
Although sometimes we don’t stop to think about it because we really see family members on a daily basis, not always the time we have on a day to day basis is quality time. Routines and dizzying pace make it impossible for us to communicate properly with each other. Something that is of great importance because most problems between family members arise as a result of poor communication or lack of it.
That is why the getaways throughout the year are used to build bridges and look for "island" moments when the family finds calm and tranquility. By changing scenarios and having free time, without worries, stress decreases and communication flows more.
3. Do not set all expectations of family enjoyment at one time a year.
As with everything, it is best not to put all the eggs in the same basket. If, in addition to the summer holidays, we manage to find other times of the year in which to "escape", the pressure that "everything must come out perfect" will decrease. Because we are not playing everything to one card. Because there will be more moments in the year in which to create beautiful moments to keep in the backpack of memories.
4. Enjoy what other seasons have to offer such as spring, fall or winter.
Seeing how the fields bloom or how they are dyed in impossible colors in the fall is one of the advantages of making getaways at this time of year. Although the good summer weather allows us to enjoy it 100% and offers us water activities, there is no need to underestimate other moments that are definitely very charming.
For example, there are plenty of family-friendly options in the snow . Or enjoy the mushroom season in the fall. Not to mention the number of hikes and hiking trails that are available to us throughout the year and are perfect to do for example in the spring, when the days are long but the heat still does not strengthen so much.
5. More supply, more peace of mind, better prices.
"Escaping" at different times of the year than conventional ones means that there are many advantages in terms of logistics and rates. If we can be flexible on dates, we are sure to find many offers that we can take advantage of, such as the Jou Nature hotel "Spring weekends with the family" ; not to mention that during the holiday periods there is more peace of mind and more chances to choose the accommodation and activities that each family prefers.
