3. Romanesque churches in the Berguedà region

As we have mentioned, in the Berguedà region there are a large number of pre-Romanesque and Romanesque churches. Now, there are 4 that stand out above the rest. We detail them below:

Sant Quirze de Pedret:
Located about 20 minutes from El Jou Nature, it is one of the main works of pre-Romanesque architecture in our country. Its natural environment inspires tranquility and the Romanesque bridge next to it makes the postcard even more perfect.

Sant Sadurní de Rotgers:
45 minute trip between El Jou Nature and this wonderful church full of fields and forests. The current construction of this church is from the 11th to the 12th centuries and inside there is a reproduction of the altar that is currently in the Episcopal Museum of Vic.

Sant Vicenç d'Obiols:
The first constructions of this church date from the 8th century. Now, in the 20th century construction was reinvented. The Sant Vicenç d'Obiols church is located half an hour from El Jou Nature.

Sant Vicenç del Rus:
This old parish church was consecrated in 1106 AD and is located among beautiful meadows and forests. The paintings that you will find inside the church are reproductions, if you want to see the originals you will have to go to visit the Museo Diocesà i Comercial de Solsona.
